What the warranty does & doesn't cover
Typically covered
- Manufacturing faults in Zane materials and workmanship
- Solar absorbers, controllers and manifolds (cover periods vary by component)
- Parts and labour on covered repairs, plus 2 years on dealer installation & workmanship
Typically not covered
- Work by non-authorised installers, or failure to follow the installation instructions
- Storm, tempest, accidental damage, misuse, or operating the system against the instructions
- Unauthorised tampering or repairs, damage from incompatible pool chemicals, and consequential damage from leaks
Why Zane installs through dealers: installation by a trained, authorised Zane dealer is a condition of the warranty — work by a non-authorised installer is specifically excluded — and it's what keeps your system running for decades.
If something's not right, here's what to do
Contact your dealer
Call your local Zane dealer — or 1300 009 263 — and describe the issue.
Have your details ready
Have your proof of purchase, installation date and Warranty Certificate details handy — your dealer holds these on file if you need them.
We assess it
Your dealer inspects the system and confirms whether it's covered under the warranty terms.
Repair or replace
If it's covered, Waterco Limited repairs or replaces the faulty component at its discretion, per the warranty terms.
Register your product
Your Zane dealer registers your system with Waterco Limited by lodging the Warranty Certificate within 90 days of purchase. This activates your conditional warranty — including the extended 25-year cover on Gulfpanel solar — and keeps your details on file.
Common warranty questions
Who do I contact for a warranty issue?
Start with your local Zane dealer — they hold your install records and can assess the system quickly. If you're not sure who your dealer is, call 1300 009 263 and we'll connect you.
What do I need to make a claim?
Your proof of purchase, the installation date, and your Warranty Certificate (your dealer lodges this with Waterco Limited when the system is commissioned). Your local dealer holds these records if you can't find them.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?
Waterco Limited's Customer Protection Plan covers the original purchaser. If you've bought a home with a Zane system already fitted, talk to your local dealer — they can look up the system's records and let you know your options.
What could void my warranty?
Installation or repairs by a non-authorised installer, using pool chemicals that aren't compatible with the system, operating it against the instructions, or storm and accidental damage can all affect cover. Using an authorised Zane dealer and keeping up regular servicing keep your warranty intact.
Does the warranty affect my Australian Consumer Law rights?
No. Zane's warranty is in addition to the guarantees you're entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
