Project Overview
Following significant storm damage and a subsequent full roof replacement, a homeowner in Tanah Merah sought to reinstate their pool heating while modernising their home’s energy profile. The Solution
Ian from Zane Pool Heating Brisbane South was commissioned to design and install a custom 38-square-metre Zane Gulfstream solar pool heating system.

Key implementation details included:
• Strategic Placement: The Gulfstream system was configured to occupy a specific section of the new roof, ensuring the optimal balance between thermal performance for the pool and available "real estate" for future solar power panels.
• Custom Colour Matching: To ensure the installation remained unobtrusive, all visible pipework was professionally painted to match the new roof colour. This allowed the infrastructure to blend seamlessly into the architecture, preserving the home’s kerbside aesthetic.
• High-Efficiency Technology: The Zane Gulfstream system was selected for its durability and superior heat transfer capabilities, providing a reliable swimming temperature throughout the shoulder months.

The Result
The installation successfully balanced functional performance with architectural integrity. By coordinating the layout with future solar PV requirements, the homeowner is now positioned to run a dual-solar household—heating the pool via thermal energy while preserving the capacity to offset household electricity costs with solar power.

The custom-matched pipework provided an "invisible" finish that met the high aesthetic standards necessitated by the home's street-facing profile in Tanah Merah.
