Overview

Why choose the Turbotemp

Turbotemp is a fully pre-mixed air-and-gas pool and spa heater that heats water quickly, whenever you want it. Hot-surface ignition means there's no pilot light to fail or waste energy, and a rustproof composite exterior handles the weather. Available in sizes from the compact 125 (spas and courtyard pools) up to the 400HD, in natural gas or LPG — with heavy-duty cupro-nickel models for salt-chlorinated pools.

Heat on demand

Fully pre-mixed air-and-gas heating warms your water fast, whenever you want it — no waiting on sun or air temperature.

No pilot light

Hot-surface ignition means there’s no standing pilot to fail or waste gas — it lights only when you need heat.

Clear digital display

A digital display with a rotating screen stays readable from any install position.

Compact & rustproof

A compact, rustproof composite design needs little pad space and shrugs off the weather.

Certified low-NOx

Certified low-NOx emissions that exceed industry standards for cleaner burning.

Multiple safety systems

Pressure switch, high-limit switches, flue sensor and a manual gas shut-off for safe operation.

Salt-pool ready

Cupro-nickel heat-exchanger models stand up to salt-chlorinated pool water.

Sizes for any job

From the compact 125 for spas and courtyards up to the 400HD for larger pools.

The technology

How gas pool heating works

Gas heating gives you heat on demand — it doesn’t rely on the sun or the air temperature, so it warms your pool fast, any time of year, to exactly the temperature you set.

Hot-surface ignition

An electric hot-surface igniter lights the burner instantly — there’s no standing pilot light to fail or waste gas.

Pre-mixed air & gas burns

Air and gas are pre-mixed and burned in the combustion chamber for clean, efficient, high-output heat.

Heat transfers to your water

Pool water is pumped through the heat exchanger above the burner and rapidly absorbs the heat.

Fast, on-demand warmth

The thermostat holds your set temperature and the pool gets there quickly — whenever you want to swim.

Choosing a size

Which Turbotemp?

Turbotemp comes in five sizes. Your dealer will match one to your pool or spa and how fast you want it to heat.

125 – 200

Spas & small pools

The compact 125 and 200 suit spas, plunge pools, courtyards and small pools where on-demand heat and a small footprint matter most.

300 – 400HD

Larger pools & fast heat

The 300, 400 and heavy-duty 400HD deliver the output to heat larger pools quickly, with the 400HD built for the hardest-working installs.

What's in the system

Key components

  • 01

    Pre-mixed burner

A fully pre-mixed air-and-gas burner fires clean and hot for rapid, efficient heating.

  • 02

    Hot-surface igniter

Lights the burner instantly on demand, with no standing pilot light to fail or waste gas.

  • 03

    Heat exchanger

Transfers the burner’s heat to your pool water; a cupro-nickel option resists salt-chlorinated water.

  • 04

    Digital control

A digital display with a rotating screen, readable from any position, sets and holds your temperature.

  • 05

    Safety systems

Pressure switch, high-limit switches, flue sensor and a manual gas shut-off safeguard operation.

  • 06

    Rustproof cabinet

A compact composite exterior resists rust and weather and needs little pad space.

Tailored to your pool

Installation, step by step

1

Site & gas assessment

Your Zane dealer checks the equipment location, ventilation, and your gas supply (natural gas or LPG) and its capacity.

2

Sizing to your pool

The heater is sized to your pool or spa volume and how fast you want it to heat, so it’s matched to the job.

3

Professional installation

A licensed installer connects the gas, water and power, commissions the unit and sets your temperature — gas work must be done by a licensed gasfitter.

Low maintenance, long life

Keep it clear & ventilated

Keep the area around the heater clear and well-ventilated so it burns cleanly and safely.

Questions, answered

Before you decide

Does Turbotemp have a pilot light?

No. It uses hot-surface ignition, so there’s no standing pilot light to fail or waste gas — the burner lights only when heat is needed.

Can I use it on a salt-chlorinated pool?

Yes — choose a model with the cupro-nickel heat exchanger, which is built to handle salt-chlorinated water.

Natural gas or LPG?

Both are supported. Your installer will set the heater up for whichever fuel you have.
