Controllers
Zane PC5 controller
The Zane PC5 Controller is an intelligent automatic control system that can be adjusted to maintain a predetermined water temperature setting. This sophisticated system also can be used on integrated systems where the circulation pump is switched on manually.
Additional features of the Zane PC5 Controller include:
- Fully automated operation
- Adjustable temperature setting
- Digital temperature display of pool water and roof temperature
- International standard weather protection IP23
- Energy efficient pool temperature monitoring
- Winter ‘Sleep’ mode operation
- System status operation

Zane zx3000 controller
The Zane ZX3000 Controller automatic solar system incorporates additional features to the standard PC5 Controller. This includes a rotoflow where roof sensors cannot be fitted, ability to control both the filter and the solar system, and ability to integrate heat pumps and gas heaters.
Additional features of the Zane ZX3000 Controller include:
- Adjustable temperature setting
- Digital temperature display of pool water and roof temperature
- International standard weather protection IP23
- Fully automatic operation
- Energy efficient pool temperature monitoring
- Winter ‘Sleep’ mode operation
- System status, operation and fault display
- Combined filter and solar control unit
- Solar gain automatically starts filter (SOF)
- Solar pump protection
- Ability to set filter on a timer
- Low voltage control panel separate from high voltage power module
- User-friendly Rotoflow option
- Long life backup battery to keep time and set program

Pumps
A Zane Solar system requires efficient water circulation to function at optimum levels. For this reason, we use a specially designed range of pumps incorporating the essential features required to make them compatible with Zane Solar systems.
Suitable for applications where the water entering is pre-filtered, solar pump features include:
- Mechanical seal – high-grade carbon/graphite with 316 stainless steel
- Secondary seal – protects the pump motor end shield from water contact by capturing leaks through a faulty mechanical seal and draining it out of the pump
- Solar check valve – prevents water flowing back to the pump
Suitable for applications where the water entering has not been pre-filtered, standard pump features include:
- Mechanical seal – high-grade carbon/graphite with 316 stainless steel
- Secondary seal – protects the pump motor end shield from water contact by capturing leaks through a faulty mechanical seal and draining it out of the pump
- Extra large strainer basket – captures debris and protects the impeller

Vacuum relief valve (VRV)
A vacuum relief valve prevents the absorber from continually ‘working’ due to the constant changes within the system from negative to positive pressure, extending the life of the system. By allowing water to drain from the system and have a longer service life, problems associated with freezing, boiling and stagnation are eliminated.

Flocheck
The Zane Flocheck valve is integrated with the solar controller and will stop the solar pump if the pool filtration pump is not working. This prevents starvation of water to the pump and potential damaging of the seal.
